Section Policies
DigitCult publishes both theoretical and empirical research contributions relevant in the field of digital cultures, and it is also open to submissions in practice-based research methodology: researches and projects that incorporate practical elements as a part of the methodology to create a virtuous, reflexive, and iterative dialogue with concepts and theories.
Works must be 20.000 to 40.000 types long, annotations included.
Before 2022, the journal was organized into multiple sections. The section Provocations and Dialogues was open only to invited authors and was not peer-reviewed. The section Articles was open to contributions and peer-reviewed. Currently, the only section is Articles, always open to on-line submissions. Manuscripts are processed by journal editors through the double-blind peer review.
