Abstract

In the 21st century, speaking of the educational role and collective dimension of theatre, does it make sense? What does theatre become if the body is mediated by a screen? Can we still call it theatre? We will have these questions like a guide to argue about the main features of online theatre review (2020-2021) designed for collective use. It was made up of five live events. Each one included a theatrical monologue inspired by one of the most famous clinical cases of Freud, followed by a dialogic session between the actress and director, the dramatist, a psychoanalyst and the spectators. The type of platform used allowed people to gather in a virtual theatre, repeating the rituality of the theatrical appointment, and to intervene themselves. The experience of Freud a teatro opens some questions about the peculiarities of the presence and the participation in a theatrical event mediated by digital technologies.
